Immune Boosting Green Smoothie


Get your daily dose of vitamins and energy boosting power from this green smoothie. This smoothie is a daily in my house, and my two kids ( 4 and 2), suck it down as quick as I do.

If you have trouble getting your greens in everyday, or if you're feeling like the seasons changing may bring along the unwanted cold, this smoothie is packed with Vitamin C, A, and K, along with fibre, antioxidants, and antinflammatory effects. In addition to the ingredients below feel free to add your favorite plant based protein for added protein.

Serves 1

Ingredients

  • 1/2 banana

  • 1/2 cup frozen kale/spinach

  • 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries of your choice

  • 1 Tbsp flax meal

  • 1 Tbsp chia seed

  • 1 tsp turmeric

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 Tbsp raw honey ( omit if you add a scoop of protein)

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk

  • 1/2- 3/4 cup filtered water


Instructions

  1. Place all above ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth.
